After 5 years of working closely with the Foundation at College of the Desert, we want to expand and do big events and service students of all colleges. We decided it was time to make the big step of starting our own 501 (C)(3). 

The name of Desert Sparkles Fund comes from the initial conversation with the CVPSF founder William Tumelty. Bill, Jon, and Lucio were thinking of names for CVPSF and wanted to use the word "Sparkles" but ended up with CVPSF.

 

In memory of Bill, we used the word 'Sparkles".
